Wedding Decor Cost in Kampala: What Actually Drives the Budget
Why nobody can give you one honest number
Search "wedding decor cost Kampala" and you'll find a lot of round numbers thrown around with no context. The honest answer is that decor cost isn't one line item — it's the sum of several decisions, and each one can move your total by a lot more than people expect.

Guest count changes almost everything
Table count drives centerpiece count, linen count, chair cover count, and often venue size itself. A 400-guest reception and a 120-guest reception aren't the same project scaled up or down — they're different logistics entirely, and decor pricing follows that, not a flat per-guest rate.
If you're still finalizing numbers, get your guest count within a realistic range before you start pricing decor seriously. It's the single biggest lever in the whole budget.
Venue type sets your starting point
A garden or outdoor venue usually needs more structural decor — draping, lighting rigs, sometimes a tent — because you're building the atmosphere from scratch. An indoor hall with good existing architecture can need less to look finished, but may cost more to rent by the hour.
Kwanjula and kuhingira ceremonies also bring their own decor requirements — the seating arrangement, gift display, and traditional elements are a different design brief from a church-and-reception wedding, and should be priced as one from the start rather than added on later.

When you reach out to any decorator, the fastest way to get a real answer is to give them: guest count, venue (or shortlist), date, and which tier of styling you're picturing. That's enough for a serious planner to give you an actual, specific quote rather than a guess.
